overview
YMCA/Rangers Evening Camp
Location: YMCA/Rangers Soccer Complex, 1153 N. Indiana Avenue, Auburn, IN 46706
• This camp will be held the week of June 17th in the evening hours, 1 to 2 hours each day, Monday – Friday.
• Any soccer player regardless of skill level born in the years of 2010-2022 is welcome to come to this camp.
• Beginning soccer players will be put in groups that work on basic soccer skills, using reality-based games and training activities.
• Intermediate/Advanced soccer players will be put in groups that also work on technical skills but will also spend some time working on tactical/team principles using games and training activities.
• ALL soccer players will have fun, make new friends, better their skills, and expand their knowledge of the game of soccer in a low-pressure environment with local Rangers coaches.
• The youngest players, birth years 2020-2022, will participate in Little Rangers, which has been designed to enhance children’s motor and social skills through a sports environment. We accomplish this through an activity-based program with an emphasis not only on the game of soccer but also other creative activities. This program requires active adult participation to help with motivation as well as to foster a greater bond in adult/child relationships. (One parent/guardian required for each camper.)
