Ryan grew up in Garrett, Indiana and has been involved with soccer since age six. Ryan played club soccer (Auburn Soccer Club) with players from Hamilton, Auburn, Angola, Kendallville, and Garrett in his middle and high school years. After high school, he played soccer at Saint Francis College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Following college, Ryan has coached at multiple age levels and skill sets for over 14 years.
Ryan is the Specialist Coach for the Rangers Academy with a focus on goalkeeper training.  Ryan also coaches for the boys Varsity and JV soccer teams at Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ryan holds Level 1 and Level 2 National Goalkeeping Diplomas through United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) as well as all grassroots coaching licenses through US Soccer.  Ryan was selected to the GK Nexus Mentorship program in 2022 led by former Manchester United goalkeeper coach Eric Steele.
Ryan has been blessed with a wonderful wife and six children, many of which are involved with the Rangers Academy.
