For those who are not aware of what the Olympic Development Program is…

ODP Purpose
The program was formed to identify players of the highest caliber on a continuing and consistent basis, which will lead to increased success for the U.S. National Teams in the international arena. Players are divided into training age groups by birth year and are led by ODP State Staff Coaches selected by Indiana Soccer’s Director of ODP, Todd Sheely.

ODP Goals
The Indiana Olympic Development Program serves to provide players confidence and ideas to solve problems the game presents them, and to provide opportunities for the gradual growth and advancement through challenging, creative, and positive training and playing environments.
Identify, train, and promote the top players in Indiana for National and Regional Pools
Provide unique training and playing environments to enhance player development
Develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching:
Provide guidance in the college selection process.
How to Participate
You must be identified and invited to join the Indiana Olympic Development Program. Players must be formally invited to participate in State Pool Training through the tryout process. Indiana ODP tryouts are open to any soccer player

Evaluation Criterion
The Indiana Olympic Development Program operates on a year round calendar designed for the identification, selection, and development of top players in each age group. Each player is fairly evaluated in the four components of the game (technical, tactical, psychological, and physical), their creativity and problem solving ability, their ability to contribute to the team, an individual’s versatility as a player, and the ability to be competitive within the current State Pool.
